Company is working on The Panama Canal ThirdSet of Locks Project, which will increase the transit capacity of the Canal to meet cargo-carrying demand along major international maritime trade routes. Our responsibilities on this project have created the need for a Geotechnical Engineer to support our Quality Assurance and Design teams in our Cocoli offices.

Responsibilities
 Geotechnical design activities and field Quality Assurance of excavations, foundations, dams and
earthworks.
 Preparation, supervision and Quality Assurance of investigation programs.
 Geotechnical analyses, including seepage and slope stability analysis for excavations and
embankments (including dams); foundation design / analyses.
 Communication and interface with Client and Owner, including meetings, technical
reports/memos and other communications (in English language).
 The position will require a significant amount of field/outdoor activity related to Quality Assurance
testing / investigations and monitoring.
Qualifications
 A Bachelors or Masters Degree (or equivalent) in Geotechnical / Civil engineering or Geology.
 8+ years experience in heavy civil engineering (preferably dams and water resources).
 Experience in construction and / or field assignments.
 Fluent in English (writing and speaking). All written communications and reporting will be in
English language.
 Preference given to Panamanian citizens.
 Excellent organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
 Must have functional computer skills in standard industry software (word processing, spreadsheet
and database applications) and engineering./.design software (drafting./.CADD, geotechnical
software).
 Must respond in English, including resume / CV.
